    To equip teachers with practical knowledge and skills to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their teaching practice. The course will cover AI tools for lesson planning, content delivery, assessment, and classroom management, with a focus on enhancing student engagement and personalisation of learning outcomes.

Course Introduction

This course is designed with hands-on workshops which give the teacher lots of practical techniques that they can bring back to their classroom. The course is delivered through the medium of English, which gives participants an opportunity to refresh and improve their communication skills in an authentic workplace environment.

Course content

DAY 1


1. Introduction to AI in Education (1.5h)

Definition of AI and its significance for learning languages Challenges teachers face in the time of widespread AI use

2: AI for Classroom Management and Organisational tasks (1.5h)

Overview of AI Tools for Classroom Management - student attendance How AI can assist with organisational tasks such as scheduling, communication, and resource management

Hands-On Activity: Teachers set up a class on a suggested platform and experiment with the functionalities available to monitor student participation and conduct. They use tools that employ AI features to schedule classes and set up reminders.

DAY 2


3: AI for Lesson Planning (3h)

AI tools that assist in lesson planning
Lesson plan customisation

Hands-On Activity: Teachers Create a lesson plan using one of the tools presented during classes and customise it for their students.

DAY 3


4: AI for Content Delivery and Boosting Student Engagement (3h)

Introduction to platforms for content creation
Platforms that incorporate AI to enhance student engagement
How AI can help tailor instruction to individual student needs
How AI tools help to personalise language learning, incorporate individualised content for a given group of students

Hands-On Activity: Teachers use one of the discussed platforms to set up a class and create learning resources adapted to students

DAY 4


5: AI for Assessment and Feedback (3h)

Overview of AI tools that assist with grading and feedback
How these tools can save time and provide detailed feedback to students.

Hands-On Activity: Teachers create an assignment using one of the suggested platforms and use AI tools discussed during classes to provide feedback.

DAY 5


6: Workshop, certification (3h)
