Programme Introduction

Future Learning’s summer STEAM programme is about much more than incorporating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths into the afternoon activity programme. The STEAM workshops engage students’ creative and critical thinking skills in multi-sensory interaction with the physical world and help them develop the language to describe those experiences.

London, the capital of the United Kingdom, is a historic and cosmopolitan city with global significance. Steeped in history, it boasts iconic landmarks such as the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace. The city’s cultural scene is thriving, with world-class museums, theatres in the West End, and diverse neighbourhoods like Camden Town.

The River Thames winds through the heart of London, providing a scenic backdrop to its attractions, and numerous parks offer green spaces for relaxation. London’s culinary landscape is as diverse as its population, reflecting a multicultural fusion of flavours. Efficient public transportation, including the famous London Underground, facilitates easy exploration. London is a dynamic blend of tradition and modernity, making it a vibrant destination for Future Learning summer students.
