Erasmus Stage 1: Life Skills Through English – Levels A2 to B1
Future Learning’s Adult Course is divided into three stages according to English language level. At each stage the exit criteria are those specified in the relevant Integrated Skills Exam (ISE) for ILEP purposes by Trinity College London.
Learner Profile
Erasmus+ students who join this course have an A2 (pre-intermediate) level of English and are working towards achieving B1. The learning activities are designed to enhance participants’ communication skills socially and at work in an English speaking environment.
Learner Outcomes
During the course, participants work on a project to improve their communication, collaboration, creative problem solving, and critical thinking skills, and work toward achieving the following communicative outcomes from the CEFR:
- Understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, and day to day life.
- Deal with most situations likely to arise whilst living in an area where the language is spoken.
- Describe personal experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
- Produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.
